A Conversation with Pat Ballard,
Queen of Rubenesque Romances

....and author of the inspirational 10 Steps to Loving Your Body (No Matter What Size You Are).

Isn't the month containing Valentine's Day a great one in which to chat with a romance novelist who's also authored a self-help book about loving your body?

Well, I think so. Of course I'm biased. And really, any month's a great one to talk with Pat Ballard.

This month―next Wednesday, Feb. 11, as a matter of fact―you can join me and Pat in telespace for the second Pearlsong Conversation. Email

 pearlsongconversations@pearlsong.com

for the details and call the teleconference line at noon Eastern (11 a.m. Central) to listen in on the fun―and join in the discussion and ask questions if time and technology permit. (The line will handle up to 96 participants―first come, first served.)

Did I mention that it's F.R.E.E.?! (Other than your usual cost, if any, for a long distance call.)

Our first Pearlsong Conversation was on January 14 with FatLand author Frannie Zellman as the featured Conversationalist. Right now our plans are to hold these Conversations on the second Wednesday of each month. Linda C. Wisniewski, author of Off Kilter: A Woman's Journey to Peace with Scoliosis, Her Mother, & Her Polish Heritage will be the featured Conversationalist in March, while Charlie Lovett, author of The Program, will join me in April.

We are recording these Conversations and making them available for listening online after the call. I may also play excerpts on my Health At Every Size radio show.

For more info and a link to the mp3 of January's Conversation, see www.pearlsong.com/pearlsongconversations.htm.

To go ahead and request the call-in number & access code, email pearlsongconversations@pearlsong.com.

I hope I'll hear your voice―or at least you'll hear Pat Ballard's and mine―on February 11!

Imagine this:
What if we stop assessing ourselves based on current media icons and find new role-models,  women who look like us?
What if we stop critiquing our bodies in front of our kids
and make a pact to help our daughters
know and love their own bodies?
What if we radically redefine our conception of beauty
and surround ourselves and our children
with images of beauty as colorful, plentiful and diverse
as America herself?
